Commercial and Landscape photographer based in the Scottish Highlands.
My commercial work mainly features property, interiors and architecture and is shot exclusively digitally. I am currently using Nikon Z series cameras for this work and it forms the mainstay of my income.
My landscape and travel work is more art focussed and is shot both on digital and analogue systems. Much of my digital output is shot at present on a Fujifilm GFX100RF whilst my analogue photography is shot on a bit of a mixture - the mainstays are a DaYi 617 system, a Fujifilm GSW690, a Zenza Bronica ETRSi and an Olympus OM-2n.
I started my photography career in the mid 1990s shooting transparencies on a Nikkormat FTn as an expedition photographer working for the Smithsonian, United Nations and National Geographic in Amazonia. I have shot a few weddings (under duress) in Australia, California, a few castles across Scotland and, most recently, the Flower Market in Glasgow.
Being based in the Highlands I have found a flexible approach to the subjects I photograph and being highly adaptable has paid dividends, shooting portrait sessions and pets when the work comes along alongside my mainstay in the built environment.
