Congratulations to Edmund Telford with this image entitled ''The Bird Man Of Goreme''

Edmund tells us about the image ''This image was taken at the end of May this year in a small village near the town of Goreme, Cappadocia, Central Turkey. I popped in to Mehmet's shop for a cool soft drink and heard birds chirping. He rolled a cold display cabinet aside to reveal a back room and his collection of canaries which are his pride and joy.''

I took this using available light, Nikon D750 - f5.6 - 1/50th sec - ISO 1,000

''I like the feeling of pride and happiness exuding from him as he poses with his prized birds, caricatures and pictures of his past. I have sent a copy to him via a local photographer. Proud to say that I believe my image is also now on show in his secret gallery.''
